Relasi Yang Integral Sebagai Basis Nilai Kemanusiaan: Sebuah Respon Kritis Terhadap Masalah Kemanusiaan dalam Lensa Filosofis-Teologis Martin Buber dan Hans Urs Von Balthasar
Main Article Content
Abstract
Poverty is a multidimensional problem that is not merely economic and structural in nature, but also concerns human values and interpersonal relationships. In this study, the author feels the need for a new breakthrough, especially in the realm of interpersonal relationships, so that the poor can obtain justice and a decent life. Good relationships that take human values into account make it possible to transform the class system that imprisons the little people into authentic relationships of love. The purpose of this study is to examine the reality of poverty through a theological and philosophical lens, specifically the concept of Ur-Kenosis and the relationship of the Holy Trinity according to Hans Urs von Balthasar, as well as Martin Buber's concept of the “I-Thou” relationship. The author uses a literature study and theological-philosophical comparative study method, with the argument that changing relationships from hierarchical structures to authentic relationships based on kenotic and personal encounters can be an ethical basis for responding to poverty. The novelty of this study lies in its emphasis that the problem of poverty is not solely due to structural economic issues and resource distribution, but also concerns a crisis of relationality that needs to be restored. Thus, this paper offers a new perspective in understanding and responding to the phenomenon of poverty, not merely as an economic and structural issue, but as an ethical call that demands good relationships
