Abstract

This study analyses the role of regional fiscal policy in advancing sustainable tourism in Bengkulu Province using panel data regression across districts (2018–2024). Results show a significant positive relationship between tourism-related fiscal spending and local revenue (PAD), with an R² of 0.71. Despite rising tourist visits, budget allocations remain marginal and fragmented. Strategic public spending on infrastructure and promotion, coupled with targeted fiscal incentives, can strengthen private investment and boost economic contributions from tourism. Integrating sustainability indicators into fiscal planning and improving inter-agency coordination are essential for maximizing long-term impact.
